Today i am going to explain more about the 4 button tech .. Since there are not alot of people who understands 4 button tech.. This is a video ( This is not done by me credits to Team4thDimension )

I am not able to do video this 2-3 days , Ibuki focus video will try to get it up by next week..

I will add on information about the topic DEFENCE , basically i will list all the different ways you can defend against your opponent

1) Stand tech
2) Crouch tech ( lp+lk )
3) Crouch tech with jab as priority ( plink lp+lk , lp slightly faster than lk )
4) 3 button tech (lp,lk + any other buttons )
5) Backdash
6) Focus Backdash
7) Invincible Reversal
8) First frame airborne move ( Juri stand mk and Rose stand mk)
9) Block

What most of the average players is lacking in their defence is they most probably only use stand tech , crouch tech or invincible reversal and maybe backdash.. But look at the list of defend options you can actually really have..

From here you should realise that , there are so many different ways to defend against your opponent , no matter when he is trying to frame trap .. vortex or pressure... Mixing up your options or choosing the best 1 (depending of situations is one of the key to a strong defence)

I will elaborate more on each sections day by day , Hope everyone like it
Feedbacks are welcome

Thanks for seeing Xian's Academy

  3. Very nice info, but tell me something please: Do you or other top level players actually use 4 button tech in real matches?

  7. Hello Xian big fan here. The 4 button tech is really good but it has a strict timing since you need to time it with the throw or frame trap. For example if you do the tech slightly before your opponent attempts to throw it will come out as a focus attack and you will get thrown. It definitely needs practice and it's not effective against all characters.

  10. I dont recommend using the 4 button tech or learning it now, in Ultra it will be the command for red focus. Maybe stick to 3 button tech for your own character, or only if you got less than 2 bars. I think if you want to be good in SF you have to really train up your reaction more than anything else.

  12. Thanks Alvin!! I actually don't know how to execute both 3 or 4 button tech...do I need to press the 3 buttons at the same time or press lp+lk then plink mp?? I tried in training mode, I can tech most of the time when using two button tech. But when I try to use 3 button tech, I always fail...is it all about timing or need to plink or any special execution?? Thanks in advance!!!

  13. Hi Xian, just posting a small tip. You can make a 4 button tech by actually pressing PPP+KKK if you set your taunt to "none".

I don't really use that "shortcut" but maybe someone will find it useful (pad players?)

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  14. You can just press it all at the same time, but you cant just mash it because what happens is if the person throws you when you are the startup frames of the normal you cannot tech, you have to delay it like a normal delayed crouch tech (teching at the later frames of the tech window which is like 10 frames.). You can also do the plink crouch tech, which is plinking lp with lp+lk (if your char has a lousy cr lk.).
